Are prices inclusive of VAT?

All prices shown are inclusive of UK VAT at 20%. Shipping costs for orders are added at checkout (Free for UK Mainland).

Do you offer international shipping?

Yes, parts can be shipped internationally. We select couriers that offer tracked services at economical rates. Order from the US and Canada are delivered by UPS ground or an equivalent service. The usual delivery time is 3 to 6 working days. Prices are VAT free for customers outside the UK and EU

Will my car/bike be scratched or damaged by a cover?

All materials used for Viking Covers are designed to be used on painted vehicle surfaces. All fittings included with covers are non-scratch. Please make sure you read the fitting instructions supplied with your cover.

What is the difference between Thor, Bifrost and Gungnir covers?

Thor and Bifrost overs are both fully waterproof and breathable. They are designed for all year use, particularly on cars that are used frequently.

Gungnir covers fully waterproof non-breathable, but vented covers. They are designed for winter only storage and are most suited to vehicles that are not used for weeks or months at a time.

Can tailored covers be fitted or removed by a single person? How long does it take?

The cover can be easily fitted by one person. Once you have fitted the cover a couple of times it should only take a couple of minutes to fit or remove.

How do the underbody straps work?

Viking Covers detachable straps are placed on the ground in the desired parking space. You then drive over the straps (making sure to avoid the plastic clips), then fit the cover. Finally, you can snap the strap fasteners in place to complete the job.

What is the expected lifespan of a cover?

The expected life span of Thor and Freya covers is 5 – 8 years. We would expect other covers to last 3 – 5 years if used in typical conditions and in accordance with our care instructions which are supplied with every cover.

Do you offer printing on covers?

Covers can be printed in batches. Unfortunately, minimum batch quantities apply and we cannot offer one-off printed covers.

How long can a cover be left on a car or bike?

We would recommend removing the cover from the car every 2 – 3 weeks to check the car’s body work and stretch the elastic hems in the cover. In the UK the car will remain damage free if left for periods longer than 2 – 3 weeks.

My car has been resprayed. How soon can I fit a cover?

If the resprayed car has been baked in an oven, generally a cover can be used one week later.

If the car has not been baked, then we would recommend seeking the painter’s advice as some paint processes can continue to harden for 3-5 months.

What about storm damage?

Viking Covers use the latest generation of very strong materials to resist wind damage from gusts up to 60mph. If forecast winds and storms are over storm force 10 (63mph), the cover should be removed. Where winds are high enough to cause structural damage to buildings, it’s possible that an outdoor fabric cover will become damaged. Our standard warranty specifically excludes storm damage.

Do Viking Covers fit over aerials or antenna?

Most modern cars have aerials which can be simply remove by unscrewing counter-clockwise. The removed aerial can be stored safely in the car. Please check the aerial base to be sure it will not damage the cover. If necessary, the area can be padded with a soft cloth or hollowed out polystyrene.
